City Council Regular Meeting Minutes

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on September 28, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Peterson, Tull, Hodges and Beck; Huffman was absent. Staff present was City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and City Administrator, Allison Kitzman. Visitors at the meeting were Peter Hernandez and Colleen Larimer.

Hodges made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Beck, all ayes, motion carried.

Peterson made a motion to approve 9/14/26 regular meeting minutes, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve payment of the bills, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried.

There was a discussion on a Nuisance Abatement Attorney, as our current Attorney cannot represent the City on nuisances, due to being the Magistrate. Brianna O’Hearn has offered to represent the City at a fee of $175 per hour plus a retainer fee of $175 per month. There was discussion on other attorneys that may be interested that would not charge the monthly fee and due to the timing of going into winter, there would be little or no need for an attorney. Peterson made a motion to table this, as Kitzman explores other options, seconded by Beck, all ayes, motion carried.

Hodges made a motion to approve Annual Urban Renewal Report FY26, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.

Peterson made a motion to approve Resolution 26-33 Changes to Lenox Neighborhood Center Credit Card Policy, increasing their limit from $1,200 to $4,000, seconded by Beck, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull motioned to adjourn the meeting, Beck seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:42 PM.
