City of Lenox residents are encouraged to take advantage of this free City-Wide Cleanup event to dispose of just about anything!

In addition to City-Wide Cleanup, the City of Lenox will have a paint disposal day. You can drop off your paint cans at the metal hoop building North of the High School Baseball/Softball field parking lot. $1.00 per gallon disposal.

Today, Lenox is leading the way in Southwest Iowa in the renewable wind generation market with the construction of a wind turbine. The Lenox wind turbine is owned and operated by Lenox Municipal Utilities. This renewable energy unit produces about 11% of our community’s energy. The turbine was installed in a three-month time period, generating energy for the first time on November 22, 2003.
