CITY OF LENOX

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on September 8, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Huffman, Hodges, Tull and Cruz; Peterson was absent. Staff present was City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and City Administrator, Allison Kitzman. Visitors at the meeting were Colleen Larimer, Harper Bashor, Carly Larson, Alec Henderson and Courtney Knox.

Hodges made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried. Hodges made a motion to approve 8/25/25 regular meeting minutes, seconded by Huffman, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve payment of the bills, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve August 2025 Clerk Treasurer Report, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull made a motion to approve FY25 Urban Renewal Report, seconded by Huffman, all ayes, motion carried.

Hodges made a motion to approve re- appointment of Jim Rice and Janis Henderson to the Low Rent Housing Board for term of 2 years, expiring 9/2027, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull made a motion to approve re- appointment of Pam England to the Low Rent Housing Board for term of 1 year, expiring 9/2026, seconded by Huffman, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull made a motion to approve Special Event Permit for Homecoming Parade on September 26, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed the driveway at 400 East Temple. The current code states the opening at the street not exceed 25°; however, John and Carole Borland are asking for a waiver to extend to 40°. Hodges made a motion to approve the Driveway Width Waiver to 40°, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull made a motion to approve Special Event Permit for Fiesta en Lenox, Annual Latino Heritage Festival on 9/13/25, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull motioned to adjourn the meeting, Hodges seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:05 PM.
