CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

May 12, 2025 · 5:30 p.m. · City Hall

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on May 12, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Huffman, Tull and Cruz; Peterson and Hodges were absent. Staff present was City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and City Administrator, Allison Kitzman. Visitors were Colleen Larimer and Kristi Ritchie.

Tull made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Huffman made a motion to approve 4/28/25 regular meeting minutes, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve payment of the bills, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve April 2025 Clerk Treasurer Report, seconded by Huffman, all ayes, motion carried.

Cruz made a motion to approve Tiger Lanes Bowling Center Class C Retail Alcohol License, seconded by Huffman, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed the Design and Construction Engineering Agreement with Water's Edge for Toddler Pool. This portion of the agreement is in the amount of $15,750. Tull made a motion to approve Design and Construction Engineering Agreement with Water's Edge for Toddler Pool, seconded by Huffman, all ayes, motion carried.

Kristi Ritchie was present to discuss the progress of the Pool Improvement fundraising. The goal is for 90% of the funds to be raised by June 2025. Ritchie also added that there are fundraising events taking place this summer. Kitzman stated that businesses can sponsor water features if they wish. Ritchie also mentioned that the project could possibly expand, pending funds raised.

Kitzman discussed Engineering Agreement with Snyder & Associates for 2025 Road Repair, mentioning several asphalt street overlays and complete concrete intersection repair. The total cost for the project is approximately $365,000. Tull made a motion to approve Engineering Agreement with Snyder & Associates for 2025 Road Repair, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Cruz made a motion to approve Resolution 25- 21 Seasonal Pool Employee Wages, seconded by Huffman, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull made a motion to approve re- appointment of Sherri Calvin to the Board of Adjustments for term of 5 years, ending 6/2030, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull made a motion to approve re- appointment of Cody Adams and Heather Samo to Park/Pool/Rec Board for term of 2 years, ending 6/2027, seconded by Huffman, all ayes, motion carried.
