CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
September 9, 2024 · 5:30 p.m. · City Hall
A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on September 9, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Tull, Hodges and Cruz; Peterson and Nelson were absent. Staff present was City Administrator, Allison Kitzman and City Clerk, Dawne Bowman. Visitors were Colleen Larimer, Jayden Zaragoza, Marcus Basaldua, Justin Robles and Kevin Ramirez.
Tull made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried. Hodges made a motion to approve 8/26/24 meeting minutes, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve payment of the bills, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve August 2024 Clerk Treasurer Report, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried.
At 5:30PM, Tull motioned to open the Public Hearing Proposing Disposal of Interest in Real Property by Sale Locally Known as 205 South Walnut, Lenox, seconded by Cruz. There were no comments heard from the public. Hodges made a motion to close the Public Hearing, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.
A discussion was held on Solar/Battery Powered Speed Radar Signs, with Kitzman stating that these signs could be moved around, as they attach to our current speed limit signs and they track traffic data. Tull made a motion to approve the purchase of 4 Solar/Battery Powered Speed Radar Signs, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried.
At 5:45PM, Tull motioned to open the Public Hearing Proposing Disposal of Interest in Real Property by an Electrical Line Easement, seconded by Hodges. There were no comments heard from the public. Hodges made a motion to close the Public Hearing, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.
Kitzman stated that Resolution 24- 35 would not be discussed tonight as there were no bids for the property at 205 South Walnut. This process will start over and be on the next agenda.
Tull made a motion to approve Resolution 24- 36 Adopting Public Awareness Plan for Lenox Municipal Gas System, Prescott Gas System and DDS Rentals, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried.
Kitzman discussed the FY24 Exam Results.
Tull made a motion to approve Advertising for Sealed Bids for an Independent Contractor for Three Lake Municipal Golf Course, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried. Kitzman stated this is for the maintenance of the course for 2025- 2028 with sealed bids due by 4:00 PM on 10/09/24 to be opened at the council meeting on 10/14/24.
Tull made a motion to approve Resolution 24- 37 Granting and Electrical Line Easement to ITC Midwest LLC, seconded by Hodges. Roll call votes- all ayes, motion carried.
Tull motioned to adjourn the meeting, Hodges seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:55 PM.
