CITY OF LENOX

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on July 25, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Nelson, Tull, Zabel and Cruz. Staff present was City Clerk, Dawne Bowman. Visitors attending were Colleen Larimer and Josh Reed.

Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Nelson made a motion to approve 07/11/22 meeting minutes, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried. Bowman made a motion to approve 07/18/22 special meeting minutes, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve the payment of bills, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried.

Bowman motioned to approve CDBG Draw Request #1 for water main project (21- WS- 029) in the amount of $3,041, seconded by Zabel, all ayes, motion carried.

Clerk Bowman provided pictures and discussed the estimates for Replacement Doors at Community Center and City Hall. Zabel made a motion to approve estimate for Community Center north double doors with tempered glass panels in the amount of $6,868.10, the east door of the Community Center in the amount of $4,242.70, City Hall door in the amount of $3,641 and would also like to add the Community Center kitchen door to be replaced with the same door as the east door, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.

There was a discussion on Agri- vision Proposal. Kitzman provided the council with 5 options for the possible relocation of Agri- vision. There was discussion on recouping expenses for utilities and how much the city would like to get back, if any. Bowman commented that Kitzman has put a lot of time and effort into these proposals; however, the City cannot set the precedence of giving out free utilities. Nelson added that this business will be bringing several people to our community and school and we need to continue promoting big businesses in town. Bowman stated he is good with the proposal as written; however, wants to make sure the entire Council is in favor. Zabel mentioned that we need to be very cautious of what we are doing, adding that there are funds there today, but things can change quickly. Bowman made a motion to approve the Agri- vision Proposal as written, seconded by Nelson. Roll call votes- all ayes, motion carried.

Tull motioned to adjourn the meeting, Cruz seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
