CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
June 27, 2022 - 5:30 p.m. - City Hall
A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on June 27, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Nelson, Zabel and Cruz; Tull was absent. Staff present was City Administrator, Allison Kitzman and City Clerk, Dawne Bowman. Colleen Larimer and Deputy Pafford were also present.
Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Zabel made a motion to approve 06/13/22 meeting minutes, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried. Nelson made a motion to approve the payment of bills, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.
There was a discussion held on speeding on Temple Street. It was the consensus of the Council to get the speed trailer fixed and set up and continue with police presence. This will be on the next agenda.
Zabel made a motion to approve Resolution 22- 30 Employee Wages for FY23, seconded by Cruz. Roll call votes, all ayes- Bowman abstained, motion carried. New employee wages are as follows: Brown $23.70 to $25.50, Christensen $27.86 to $29.25, Dalton $27.86 to $29.25, Horton $24.55 to $26.50, Cortez $17.00 to $18.00, Bowman $23.67 to $24.67, Kitzman $69,556 to $72,339, Burger $17.88 to $18.42, Thompson $12.00 to $12.00, Rogers $10.77 to $11.09, Tiepelman $13.00 to $14.00 and Boltinghouse $11.00 to $12.00.
Zabel approved the appointment of Kay Smith to Library Board to fill unexpired term, ending 7/2024, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried.
Kitzman discussed changes to Library Board terms; however, the Library Board is no longer interested in making these changes.
Nelson made a motion to approve Ramsey's Market Cigarette/Tobacco/Nicotine/Vapor Permit, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.
Bowman made a motion to approve final Pay Application #4 to Building Crafts in the amount of $31,637.25 for Library Repairs, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried.
Bowman made a motion to approve Resolution 22- 31 Authorizing Loan Transfer to Tax Increment Fund, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried.
Zabel made a motion to approve Resolution 22- 32 Authorizing Transfer from Tax Increment Fund to Internal Gas Loan, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.
Bowman made a motion to approve Dally Post Special Event Permit for Street Dance, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried.
Bowman made a motion to approve Class C Liquor License with Sunday Sales for El Guero Mexican Restaurants and Cantinas, LLC, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried.
Kitzman discussed the Sesquicentennial budget, as it is will be exceeding the original amount of $10,000 due to the increase in costs of some items. Zabel made a motion to approve $5,000 increase to the Sesquicentennial budget, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried.
Cruz motioned to adjourn the meeting, Nelson seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:10 P.M.
