CITY OF LENOX

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on June 13, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Nelson, Tull, Zabel and Cruz. Staff present was City Administrator, Allison Kitzman and City Clerk, Dawne Bowman. Colleen Larimer was also present.

Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Zabel made a motion to approve 05/23/22 meeting minutes, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve the payment of bills, seconded by Zabel, all ayes, motion carried. Bowman made a motion to approve May 2022 Clerk Treasurer Report, seconded by Zabel, all ayes, motion carried.

There was a discussion held on speeding on Temple Street. Kitzman provided the council with different options of signs and quotes. This will be on the next agenda.

Kitzman discussed changes in Neighborhood Center policies and procedures relating to Director and Assistant Director time off, such as sick and vacation time, as well as the holidays they would be paid for if the center is open. Zabel commented that she is not in favor of this. Bowman made a motion to approve Resolution 22- 29 Changes to Employee Handbook Relating to the Neighborhood Center Policies and Procedures, seconded by Tull, motion carried.

Tull made a motion to approve Dally Post Class C liquor license with Outdoor Services and Sunday Sales, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Nelson made a motion to approve Dally Post Cigarette/Tobacco/Nicotine/Vapor Permit Application, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed the Special Events Application for Sesquicentennial Parade on July 1st. There is a street dance planned for South Main Street on July 1st and July 2nd, and due to time restraints, Kitzman is suggesting the parade route begin on Temple Street, rather than the Depot as the application is requesting. It was the consensus of the Council to block off Main Street at the alley of the Lenox Neighborhood Center to City Hall beginning on Friday afternoon through Sunday, which would not allow the parade to begin at the Depot. Kitzman also discussed that the Sesquicentennial committee will be responsible for moving tables and returning them so that the everything is set up. Zabel made a motion to approve Special Events Application for Sesquicentennial Parade contingent on the parade route beginning at Temple Street, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried.

Cruz motioned to adjourn the meeting, Tull seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:50 P.M.
