CITY OF LENOX

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on January 10, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Nelson, Zabel and Cruz; Tull was absent. Staff present was City Administrator, Allison Kitzman, City Clerk, Dawne Bowman; others present were Rob Lundquist and Colleen Larimer.

Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Bowman made a motion to approve 12/13/21 meeting minutes, seconded by Zabel, all ayes, motion carried. Zabel made a motion to approve the 12/27/21 payment of bills, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried. Zabel made a motion to approve the 01/10/22 payment of bills, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried. Zabel made motion to approve December 2021 Clerk Treasurer Report, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Rob Lundquist was present to discuss the Lenox Neighborhood Center Addition. While their board is currently looking for options, the building that is currently for sale is not an option for what they are needing. Lundquist stated that an addition to the south of their current building would cost approximately $200,000, they are going to continue to look at other options. This will be tabled.

Mayor Douglas appointed council committees.

Kitzman discussed Setting Community and Economic Development Priorities for SICOG. This is a yearly priority worksheet in which Kitzman will compile the information and return to SICOG.

Zabel made a motion to approve advertising for park mowing and spraying bid for a 3- year contract, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried.

Zabel approved advertising for independent contractor for groundskeeper for Lenox Golf Course for a 3- year contract, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Bowman made a motion to approve Resolution 22- 01 Setting Yearly Mileage Rate, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed Gronewold & Bell exam results for FY21.

Zabel made a motion to approve Resolution 22- 02, Delinquent Natural Gas Write- Off 2021, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed the Road Project as Snyder & Associates estimate the project being approximately $40,000 higher than anticipated. It was the consensus of the council to remove Ohio Street from the project, pending bids, as it can be added back to the project if bids are lower.

Cruz motioned to adjourn the meeting, Bowman seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:15 P.M.
