CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

November 22, 2021 - 5:30 p.m. - City Hall

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on November 22, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Zabel and Cruz; Brown and Tull were absent. Staff present was City Administrator, Allison Kitzman and City Clerk, Dawne Bowman; others present were Deputy Lynn and Colleen Larimer.

Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Zabel made a motion to approve 11/08/21 meeting minutes, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried. Bowman made a motion to approve the payment of bills, seconded by Zabel, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed library repairs. The back wall has been painted and downspouts will be installed. Kitzman reported that Nationwide Insurance is not willing to work with City on the crash site of the library, as their report was based on the condition of the library at the time of the accident, in which the facade was taken off and the looks of the library was in disrepair. It was the consensus of the council to contact the City Attorney.

Bowman made a motion to approve Resolution 21- 48 Lenox Municipal Utility Budget for Calendar Year Ending December 31, 2022, seconded by Zabel, all ayes, motion carried. This would include building a new shop if the lumber prices decline.

Zabel made a motion to approve Resolution 21- 49 Tax Abatement for 206 North Main, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Bowman made a motion to approve Class C Liquor license for Tiger Lanes, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Cruz made a motion to approve Annual Urban Renewal Report, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried.

Deputy Lynn reported on the increase in traffic enforcement during the holidays.

Cruz motioned to adjourn the meeting, Zabel seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
