CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
September 27, 2021 - 5:30 p.m. - City Hall
A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on September 27, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Brown, Tull, Zabel and Cruz. Staff present was City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and others present were Colleen Larimer, Mike and Becky Smith.
Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Brown, all ayes, motion carried. Brown made a motion to approve 09/13/21 meeting minutes, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried. Bowman made a motion to approve the payment of bills, seconded by Brown, all ayes, motion carried.
There was a brief discussion held on library repairs, regarding the color scheme.
Bowman made a motion to approve Resolution 21- 39 Employee Wage for Neighborhood Center, seconded by Brown, all ayes, motion carried.
Mike and Becky Smith were present to discuss the plans for Café Sign at the previous building, The Office. Smith stated they purchased the building in January and there are a lot of repairs and updates that need to be done, such as heating/cooling, floors, walls and the front façade. Smith talked with the council about meeting with Economic Development, who encouraged them to apply for the Catalyst Grant to assist with the project. It was the consensus of the Council to continue progressing on Main Street. Bowman made a motion to approve moving forward with the Catalyst Grant application for Café Sign, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.
Zabel made a motion to approve Beggars Night for October, 31, 2021 from 5- 8 PM, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.
Brown motioned to adjourn the meeting, Tull seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
