City Council Regular Meeting Minutes

July 08, 2019 · 5:30 p.m. · City Hall

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on July 08, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Vogel, Borland, Custer; Bowman and Ramsey were absent. Staff present was City Administrator, Allison Kitzman. Other visitors were John Fraley, Deputy Josh Lynn and Colleen Larimer.

Borland made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Vogel, all ayes, motion carried.

Custer made a motion to approve 6/24/19 meeting minutes, seconded by Borland, all ayes, motion carried. Vogel made a motion to approve the payment of the bills, seconded by Borland, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed the golf course sponsored project that was presented to the Council at the 06/24/19 meeting. This project is to correct and prevent erosion in the creek. An engineering agreement will be on the next agenda. Custer made a motion to move forward with the project, seconded by Borland, all ayes, motion carried.

Vogel discussed the need to repair the library building as it is leaking water. He has received a quote from Craig David to remove the rock veneer so we can see what repairs are needed. Vogel will see if David can attend the next meeting before we approve the quote.

Custer made a motion to approve Peddler Permit Application for Big J BBQ, seconded by Borland, all ayes, motion carried.

Borland made a motion to approve an agreement with Big J BBQ to operate a mobile food stand at City Park, seconded by Custer, all ayes, motion carried.

Borland made a motion to approve 2nd reading of Ordinance 386 Amending Rates for Lenox Gas System, seconded by Vogel. Roll Call Vote-all ayes.

Custer made a motion to approve Resolution 19-24 Employee Wages for FY 2019-2020, seconded by Borland, all ayes, motion carried. Wages are as follows: Ethan Dalton $17.00

Kitzman informed the council there was only one bid for the 2011 Chevy truck in the amount of $6,200. This bid has been accepted.

Vogel moved to adjourn the meeting, Custer seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
