CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

February 27, 2017 - 5:30 p.m. - City Hall

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Bowman on February 27, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Adams, Vogel, Borland and Custer. Staff present included City Administrator, Allison Kitzman, City Clerk, Dawne Bowman, Public Works, Ryan Brown and City Attorney, James Varley. Other visitor Cody Adams.

Adams made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Custer, all aye, motion carried. Vogel made a motion to approve 2/13/17 meeting minutes, seconded by Borland all aye, motion carried. Custer made a motion to approve the payment of the bills, seconded by Vogel, all aye, motion carried.

Cody Adams was present to discuss the possibility of installing lights at the Sports Complex. A grant for $8,000 has been applied for through the Taylor County Endowment Foundation. The total cost for the project is approximately $16,000. We will wait to see if the grant is awarded for the project.

Custer made a motion to approve Class E Liquor License for Ramsey's Market, seconded by Adams, all aye, motion carried.

Adams made a motion to approve Class B Liquor License for Ramsey's Market, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried.

At 5:45 PM Custer made a motion to open Public Hearing for FY 17- 18 Budget, seconded by Vogel, all aye, motion carried. There were no comments from the public. At 5:47 PM Adams made a motion to close the Public Hearing, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried.

Custer made a motion to adopt Resolution 17- 05 approving FY 17- 18 Budget, seconded by Vogel, all aye, motion carried.

A discussion of the deposit rate for the small room of the community center. It was decided that the refundable deposit coincide with deposit amount of the Depot, which is $100.

Vogel made a motion to approve the City Wide Clean Up dates of April 23 through May 1st 2017 with a paint day being April 29, 2017, seconded by Adams, all aye, motion carried. It was also noted that stickers for computer monitors and TV's could be purchased at City Hall, as in the past and cameras will be installed at the site for any violators.

Adams moved to adjourn the meeting, Custer seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:52 P.M.
