CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
February 13, 2017 - 5:30 p.m. - City Hall
A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on February 13, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Vogel, Borland and Custer; Adams was absent. Staff present included City Administrator, Allison Kitzman, City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and City Attorney, James Varley. Other visitors were Ben French, Deputy Pafford and Dave Sturm.
Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried. Vogel made a motion to approve 1/23/17 meeting minutes, seconded by Borland all aye, motion carried. Vogel made a motion to approve the payment of the bills, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried. Custer made a motion to approve January 2017 Clerk Treasurer Report, seconded by Vogel, all aye, motion carried.
Deputy Pafford reported for the Sheriff's Department.
Bowman made a motion to approve Resolution 17- 04 Tax Abatement for shed at 814 East Temple, seconded by Borland, all aye motion carried.
Borland made a motion to approve Clint Curtis to Planning and Zoning Board to fill unexpired term ending 4/2019, seconded by Custer, all aye motion carried.
Vogel made a motion to approve Lonnie Barker to Library Board to fill unexpired term ending 7/2020, seconded by Bowman, all aye motion carried.
Borland made a motion to approve Lange Construction to replace cabinets at Depot in amount of $2800, seconded by Custer, all aye motion carried.
At 5:45 PM Bowman made a motion to open a Public Hearing for Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements, seconded by Custer. Dave Sturm with Snyder and Associates was present to answer any questions. There were no comments from the public heard. At 5:47 PM Bowman made a motion to close the Public Hearing, seconded by Custer, all aye motion carried.
Bowman made a motion to approve $5,000 to the Neighborhood Center for building expansion, seconded by Borland, all aye motion carried.
Vogel moved to adjourn the meeting, Custer seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:52 P.M.
