CITY OF LENOX

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on January 23, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Adams, Vogel, Borland and Custer. Staff present included City Administrator, Allison Kitzman, City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and City Attorney, James Varley. Other visitors were Ben French and Rob Lundquist.

Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Adams, all aye, motion carried. Adams made a motion to approve 1/9/16 meeting minutes and 1/1617 special meeting minutes, seconded by Custer all aye, motion carried. Vogel made a motion to approve the payment of the bills, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried. Custer made a motion to approve December 2016 Clerk Treasurer Report, seconded by Adams, all aye, motion carried.

Rob Lundquist was present to discuss the Neighborhood Center and provided the Council with information regarding a 32' x 32' addition to the current building. Lundquist received estimates of over $50,000 for the project; however, the Neighborhood Center will be applying for grants, fundraising, and asking for donations. Lundquist has asked the City to be the fiscal agent for this project and donate $5,000 toward this addition. No decisions were made and it will be on the next agenda.

Adams made a motion to approve 2017 Appointments by the Mayor, seconded by Custer, all aye, motion carried.

Bowman made a motion to set time and date of 2/27/17 at 5:45 PM for a Public Hearing for FY17- 18 Budget, seconded by Custer, all aye motion carried.

Custer made a motion to approve resignation of City Attorney, Jim Varley effective April 1, 2017, seconded by Adams all aye, motion carried.

Adams moved to adjourn the meeting, Custer seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:10 P.M.
