CITY OF LENOX

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Bowman on January 9, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Adams, Vogel, and Borland; Custer absent. Staff present included City Administrator, Allison Kitzman, City Clerk, Dawne Bowman, Public Works, Ryan Brown and City Attorney, James Varley. Other visitors were Ben French, Deputy Pafford and Jeremy Rounds.

Adams made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried. Vogel made a motion to approve 12/12/16 meeting minutes, seconded by Borland all aye, motion carried. Borland made a motion to approve the payment of the bills, seconded by Adams, all aye, motion carried.

Vogel made a motion to approve Resolution 17- 01 Setting 2017 Annual Mileage Reimbursement Rate of $0.53.5 seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried.

Adams made a motion to approve Resolution 17- 02 Setting Depot Rental Fees as $100 refundable deposit and $35 rent, seconded by Vogel, all aye, motion carried.

Borland made a motion to approve 2017 Fire Department Roster, seconded by Adams, all aye, motion carried.

Council committees by Mayor will be on the next agenda.

Adams made a motion to approve February 13, 2017 at 5:45 PM for a Public Hearing on Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried.

Vogel made a motion to approve amended estimate from J&N Stephens for installation of steel to south wall of City Hall in amount of $15,500 seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried.

Borland made a motion to approve Depot Rental Agreement, seconded by Adams, all aye, motion carried.

Deputy Pafford updated for the Sheriff's Department.

At 5:45PM a Public Hearing was held for CDBG Housing Rehab Grant. Jeremy Rounds, with SICOG was present to answer any questions. There were no comments heard from the public. At 5:53 PM Adams made a motion to close the Public Hearing, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried.

Adams made a motion to approve Resolution 17- 03 for Local Funding Match seconded by Vogel. Roll call votes- all ayes, motion carried. Jeremy Rounds also discussed that the intent is to rehab 5 homes with the City paying $3,000 per home, for a total of $15,000.

Adams made a motion to approve SICOG for CDBG Housing Rehab Grant Technical Services, seconded by Vogel, all aye, motion carried.

Vogel made a motion to approve amendment to Professional Services Agreement to Sewer Project, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried.

Borland made a motion to approve January 16, 2017 at 5:45 PM for Public Hearing for Precious People CDBG Grant Application, seconded by Adams, all aye, motion carried.

Per Jeremy Rounds, no motion was necessary for approving Precious People submittal of CDBG application. It was discussed, that if awarded the grant, the Council would receive updates on the projects.

Adams moved to adjourn the meeting, Borland seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:10 P.M.
