CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

November 28, 2016 - 5:30 p.m. - City Hall

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on November 28, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Vogel, Adams, Bowman, Borland and Custer. Staff present included City Administrator, Allison Kitzman, City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and Public Works, Ryan Brown. Other visitors were Ben French, Deputy Pafford, Ron Kitzman, Haley Bals and Bill Henderson.

Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Adams, all aye, motion carried. Adams made a motion to approve 11/14/16 meeting minutes, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried. Vogel made a motion to approve the payment of the bills, seconded by Bowman, all aye, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed the Engineering Contract with Snyder and Associates for the Walking Trail. Bill Henderson was present to answer any questions. The project is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2017. Custer made a motion to approve Engineering Contract with Snyder and Associates for the Walking Trail, pending City Attorney review, seconded by Adams, all aye, motion carried.

Custer made a motion to approve Community and Economic Development Priorities to SICOG, seconded by Borland, all aye, motion carried.

Vogel made a motion to approve Resolution 16- 28 setting time and date of 12/12/16 at 5:45 PM for Public Hearing on CDBG Housing Grant, seconded by Adams. Roll call votes- all ayes, motion carried.

Custer discussed the replacement of the disc mower. Ryan Brown commented that a bigger mower is not necessary. Bowman made a motion to approve the purchase of new disc mower in amount of $3,552 after insurance reimbursement and trade in value, utilizing LOST funds, seconded by Adams. Roll call votes - all ayes, Custer abstained, motion carried.

Deputy Pafford reported for the Sheriff's Department. There was a discussion regarding the cameras, in which the council would like to make sure they are being checked on a regular basis to ensure they are working properly. It was decided to discuss this issue with Sheriff Weed.

Adams moved to adjourn the meeting, Custer seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:05 P.M.
