CITY OF LENOX

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on January 12, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Peterson, Huffman, Tull and Hodges[cite: 13]. Staff present was City Administrator, Allison Kitzman and City Clerk, Dawne Bowman[cite: 13]. Visitor at the meeting was Colleen Larimer[cite: 13].

Hodges made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13]. Peterson made a motion to approve 12/08/25 regular meeting minutes, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13]. Tull made a motion to approve payment of the 12/22/25 bills, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13]. Tull made a motion to approve payment of the 1/12/26 bills, seconded by Peterson, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13]. Peterson made a motion to approve the Clerk Treasurer Report December 2025, seconded by Huffman, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13].

Peterson made a motion to approve Pay Application #3 and Final in the amount of $10,163.97 for Walking Trail Improvements Project, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13].

Peterson made a motion to accept resignation for Council member, Tysen Christensen, who was a write in vote at the last election, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13].

Hodges made a motion to approve Resolution 26-01 Adopting Operations and Maintenance Plan Version 1.2 for Lenox Municipal Gas System, seconded by Huffman, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13]. The changes to the plan were Iowa Utilities Board name change, PHMSA code change and Administration code changes[cite: 13].

Peterson made a motion to approve Resolution 26-02 Setting Yearly Mileage Rate to $0.72.5, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13].

Tull made a motion to approve Clubhouse Manager Agreement for 2026 for Tysen and Hadlee Christensen, seconded by Peterson, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13].

Tull motioned to adjourn the meeting, Peterson seconded, all ayes, motion carried[cite: 13]. Meeting adjourned at 5:40 PM[cite: 13].
