Recreation in Lenox

Located in the Park is the heated swimming pool with two slides and a diving board, basketball court which doubles as a volleyball court, picnic areas with two shelter houses, and playground equiptment.

In the summer of 1996, an expanded and improved golf course was developed by a grassroots committee, a lot of hard work, local commitments and a successful $250,000 fund-raising campaign. This changed of the the few courses in Iowa with sand greens to grass greens. To grass greens with watered fairways where every putt is a true challenge. the 3,000 yard long course has other improvements as well. This par 36 regular-length, nine-hole course, is located one mile north of Lenox on Lake Shore Drive.

Fishing, Bike Riding, Swimming, Camping, Hunting, Tri-County Shooting Range, Walking Trail, Lodging Available- Camper hookups available at Wilsons Lanke an Three Lakes Camp Ground (located at the Golf Course and maintained by Lenox Municipal Utilities), and Many area lakes along with numerous famr ponds provide abundant fishing opportunities for the casual to the professional fisherman.

Hunting:

This region is well known for excellent hunting. You can enjoy hunting of all types of wildlife like: Turkey, Pheasant, Quail, Deer, Rabbit, and Squirrel.
